Yasir Jaswal’s Introduction

Yasir Jaswal is married to Saba. Together, they have three sons. Their first son is named Nael Jaswal, and their second is named Ryan Jaswal. On July 1, 2021, they had another baby boy named Amar Jaswal.

Yasir Jaswal’s Music Career

Yasir Jaswal began his music work around 2003. He joined a rock band from Islamabad named Irtaash. This band started in November 2001 and made its first music album with eleven rock songs in May 2011. Sarmad Abdul Ghafoor helped produce this album at SnM Studios. Yasir left the band in October 2011. In August 2012, he made his first song, Khizaan. He worked with Ghafoor to make this song and recorded it at SnM Studios in Islamabad.

After he left Irtaash, Yasir joined another band called Call in June 2013. He became the main singer there. This was one year after the previous main singer, Junaid Khan, left Call. Yasir and the leader of Call, Zulfiqar Jabbar Khan (known as Xulfi), had worked together before in another band called Entity Paradigm. In 2013, Yasir created and wrote a song called Bolay for his younger brother, Uzair Jaswal.

Yasir Jaswal started his own company for music and movies called Jaswal Films. He directed many music videos, especially for his brother Uzair Jaswal.

In May 2010, he directed a special Mother’s Day song for Uzair called Maa, with Khurram Waqar’s help at MindWorks Media. Then, in November 2010, he directed another song by Uzair, Tere Bin.

In December 2011, Yasir directed a music video for Shaheryar Mirza’s song Aakhri Baar. This work allowed him to win the 2014 Lux Style Award for Best Music Video Director.

In June 2012, he made a music video for Zoraiz Riaz’s song Janay Anjanay (Chupke Se Aye).  In August of the same year, he directed a video for Omer Nadeem’s song Kin Raaston Pe.

In 2013, Yasir directed the music video for Uzair’s song Bolay. This video won him the 2014 Lux Style Award for Best Music Video Director. He was also in the running for the 2014 Hum Award for Best Music Video.

In June 2014, Yasir directed the video for Farhan Saeed’s song Roiyaan. This video was nominated for the 2015 Hum Award for Best Music Video. He was also nominated for the 2015 Lux Style Award for Best Music Video Director.

Yasir made his first movie, Jalaibee, in 2015. He wrote the story for this action crime film. It starred Danish Taimoor, Ali Safina, Uzair Jaswal, and Wiqar Ali Khan. This was the first Pakistani movie filmed with an Arri Alexa HD camera. The movie came out on March 20, 2015, in Pakistan and other countries. It made ₨10.5 crore while costing ₨10 crore to make. Also, in 2015, Yasir directed the music video for Uzair’s song Sajna. This video, set in the 1980s, featured Uzair, Armeena Khan, and Osman Khalid Butt.
