Iqra Aziz was delivered to the world on 24 November 1997, born into a Sindhi family to her parents Abdul Aziz and Aasiya Aziz. She lost her father at a very young age and was raised by her mother, in that sense she belongs to a family of 3 instead of 4 – her mother, herself and her elder sister Sidra Aziz.
Her childhood was simple as she mentioned in most her interviews about her mother’s struggles being a single parent and working hard trying to make both ends meet, as it was very difficult for them to meet the day to day financial needs. A lesser-known fact about Iqra and her family is, her mother is credited to be first female Careem driver in Karachi. Aziz resides in Saddar, Karachi along with her mother where she has been living since childhood. She was unable to complete her bachelors and has an uncompleted Bachelors of Commerce degree from the University of Karachi, that she plans to complete it as soon as she gets a break from acting and modelling.

Iqra stepped into the media world and initiated her career in 2014 with a drama serial ‘kissay apna kahain’ in which she featured as the supporting character but this role gave a huge rise to her career and made her more recognized between producers and directors.
After this good start, she was offered to play a lead role in muqaddas along with the talented actor, Noor Hassan. Then after, she acted in ‘qurban’ drama along with Shehzad Sheikh and Bilal Abbas was praised and appreciated by everyone.
