1995: Raaz

In 1995, Hadiqa Kiani was chosen as the Best Female Singer in Pakistan by the viewers of NTM, a TV channel. Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan was named the Best Male Singer in the same event.

The next year, in 1996, Hadiqa released her first music album called Raaz (which means Secret). This album had many popular songs and got good reviews. People think it did well because not many female singers, especially those not from musical backgrounds, were making albums in Pakistan then.
