Ayyan Ali was arrested on 14 March in the year 2015 by the Pakistan Airport Security Forces. They blamed her for money laundering. She was boarding a flight to the UAE. Ayyan was en route to Dubai via a private airline when Airport Security Force (ASF) scanned her suitcases on the counter and learned that she is having US$506,800.
She was presented before a judge who sent her on fourteen-day judicial police remand. Then, she was taken to a facility of medicine for examination. The amount in her suitcase exceeded the limit of cash that can be kept in Pakistan during travel. The limit of money is $10,000, but Ayyan was carrying $500,000.
Moreover, during the inquiry, she allegedly involved several Pakistani politicians and models that participated in money laundering. On 16 July 2015, Ayyan was freed from jail on bail.
