Heavy Rains Wreak Havoc in Balochistan

The torrential rains wreaked havoc in Balochistan, flooding Mastung, Khuzdar, Harnai, Noshki, Laura Lai, Dhadar, washed away several cattle, collapsed mud houses, damaged standing crops and disrupted traffic on national highways. Due to heavy rains, the ground connection of many villages was cut off.

According to provincial government spokesman Liaqat Shahwani, three people have been reported killed in various accidents during the rains and floods so far. Two people were killed in an accident caused by rain in Jaffarabad while two people trapped in a flood relay in Hub were rescued.

 

Seven tourists were rescued in a flood relay at Maula Chatuk, a resort in Khuzdar, while a bridge near Baduk on the Makran Coastal Highway in Pasni was swept away in the flood relay, cutting off ground connectivity between Gwadar's Lasbela and Karachi and several vehicles.
