According to details, Prime Minister Imran Khan will arrive in Peshawar today on a one-day visit to inaugurate the Peshawar BRT project. The Prime Minister will inaugurate the BRT bus project from Chamkani station. Governor Sindh Imran Ismail and federal ministers will also accompany the Prime Minister while Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Shah Farman and Chief Minister Mahmood Khan will host the event. Eco-friendly hybrid buses have been selected for the project.
Under this project buses will run from Chamkani to Karkhano Market, the fare will be Rs. 10 to 50. Yesterday, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mahmood Khan while talking to the media in Peshawar about the project said that the launch of BRT Peshawar would provide quality transport to the people of the provincial capital at affordable fares. The BRT project consists of a 27-and-a-half km long highway with 31 stations, of which the length of sub-routes is 62 km with 146 stops.
