Whatsapp May Now Be Used Without Internet Due to Unique Feature.

Posted on Jan 9, 2023

WhatsApp, the world's largest instant messaging sharing application, has introduced the ever-revolutionary feature 'Proxy Support', after which it became possible to run without the internet.

At the beginning of 2023, WhatsApp made its largest modification by confirming that the programme can now be used with "proxy support."

According to a blog post by WhatsApp in various countries, including Iran, the internet has been shut down, and other apps, including WhatsApp, have been blocked to cut people off from one another, which is against human rights.

According to the site, WhatsApp proxy support is being provided to restore human rights and link people to one another. With its assistance, users may access WhatsApp even when the internet is shut down or when apps are forbidden.

Despite proxy support, WhatsApp claims that user messages and calls will remain end-to-end, which means that proxy servers like WhatsApp and Meta won't be able to see or hear them.

What is Proxy Support?

Proxy support means that those in areas or nations where internet access is restricted or WhatsApp is outlawed will be able to use WhatsApp with ease under the capability above.

Under this function, WhatsApp won't offer internet service directly; instead, free internet will be offered through proxy servers built by international welfare organisations.

In addition to offering internet access, proxy internet servers will allow WhatsApp to function there despite the prohibition.

Many international human rights and humanitarian organisations have set up free proxy servers that offer free internet and other services to nations worldwide.

The proxy above internet services are inexpensive and operate without an internet connection, but users must first learn more about these servers.

How to Turn on the Proxy Support Feature?

The feature above will typically only function in places where WhatsApp is prohibited, and the government or administration has blocked access to the internet.

Users must access their WhatsApp settings to use this function.

After selecting the WhatsApp settings bar, select "Storage and Data," where you will find the option for "Proxy Settings" at the bottom.

The user must click "Proxy Option" to open a window where the proxy setting must be enabled.

The system will prompt users to use a "Proxy Server" when the proxy setting has been enabled; to do so, users must first download the proxy internet server.

To connect this proxy server to WhatsApp, users must first download the "Free Proxy Internet Server" app to their mobile phones. Then they can access the WhatsApp settings and do so.

The most challenging aspect of this feature is that the user must be aware of the free proxy servers and the most secure servers beforehand.

WhatsApp won't advise users on which proxy server is secure.

Users will need to download proxy servers beforehand, which will be useful in an emergency.
