NASA's spacecraft X-59, a US-based spacecraft capable of flying faster than the speed of sound, will soon make supersonic flights a reality.
The aircraft has been declared a clearing for the final assembly.
The X59 aircraft is equipped with a Quiet Supersonic technology designed by Lockheed Martin and its first flight is expected in 2021.
This is NASA's first aircraft in three decades and, despite flying faster than the speed of sound, it has no sound but almost silent flight.
NASA has announced that the aircraft has been cleared of the final assembly and will now have systems installed.
Its first test flight will be in 2020, and it will start operating in 2021 on a commercial basis.
According to NASA, despite flying at supersonic speeds, its sound is no more than closing a car's door and it can fly at 9,000 miles per hour at a height of 55,000 feet.
It should be noted here that the speed of sound is 767 miles per hour
