Online Game 'PUBG' Has Crossed the Milestone of One Billion Downloads

Tencent has announced that its cell phone action game PUBG Mobile has surpassed the one billion download mark outside of China. Since then, PUBG has developed to become one of the most popular online games in the world.
PUBG Mobile, according to Reuters, is a mobile version of PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, in which a group of players combat each other until only one player remains.
Since its inception three years ago, this online game has become extremely popular. According to the most recent download figures, PUBG Mobile has now surpassed Kilo Games' Subway Surfers and King Digital Entertainment's Candy Crush Saga.
Both games are simple to play, and a huge number of people enjoy them, according to data analytics firm Sensor Tower. According to a Nico Partners analyst, PUBG Mobile's one billion downloads meant that similar games could follow in its footsteps.
Peacekeeper Elite, a similar game developed by Tencent, the world's largest video game company by revenue, is available in China. Tencent recently reported that revenue from online gaming increased by 29% in the fourth quarter, resulting in a rise in the number of users playing video games in both the Chinese and foreign markets.
Owner of Kings and PUBG Mobile, the company's two-hit games, topped the Chinese and foreign markets in the same year, according to the company.
