Huawei's annual revenue increases despite US sanctions

Huawei claims that despite US sanctions, its annual revenue is expected to reach $ 122 billion in 2019.

Huawei chairman Eric Shaw made the announcement in a message to employees of the company at the beginning of the new year, The Guardian reported.

At the beginning of 2019, the Chinese company estimated that it would be able to make $ 125 billion a year, but Eric Shaw said $ 122 billion also represents an 18 percent increase in annual revenue compared to 2018.

It may be recalled that in May 2019, the United States barred Huawei from trading with US companies, and a special government license was imposed on US companies to supply parts to Huawei.

Huawei was blacklisted by the Trump administration as a threat to US national security and said its devices could be used for espionage, a charge the Chinese company has always denied.

Referring to the issue, Eric Shaw said, "The US government has launched a strategic and long-term campaign against the company, which will create a challenging environment for Huawei survival and advancement, and survival is our top priority right now."

As a result of US sanctions, Huawei has lost its new phones to Google Apps and its flagship phone Mate 30 was introduced without Google Apps.

In this regard, Huawei's founder Ren Zheng Fai told CNN in November 2019 that Huawei could become the world's number one smartphone company, away from Google software and apps.

He said that the time to return to normal business is fast approaching, and once the company introduces an alternative operating system, it will not look back and its negative impact on the US. ۔

He added that if work on Plan B goes up, then there will be little chance for us to return to the previous operating system (Android) and software, and even if there is a return, for a new alternative.

"This is a very important time for all of us, and the US government should consider the interests of American companies," said Ren Zheng Fai.

He warns Samsung and Apple that despite being blacklisted by the US, his company will become the number one smartphone company. "Without Android, we can become the world's number one company, I don't think any of it. The problem will be, it will take time
