Fawad Chaudhry wishes UAE support for space mission

Federal Minister for Technology Fawad Chaudhry has said that Pakistan wants to increase cooperation with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in the fields of space, museums and agriculture.

According to the Gulf Times report, Fawad Chaudhry said, "We want to create a museum and a future strategy, so we are working with the UAE on these issues."

Fawad Chaudhry said during a visit to the Gulf Times that the UAE has recently opened a space university and we would like to increase cooperation in the space sector with the United Arab Emirates.

"We are preparing to send our first humanitarian mission to space in 2022, so I want the UAE Space University to sign Memorandum of Understanding with Pakistani universities," he said.

In July 2019, Fawad Chaudhry announced that Pakistan would send its first astronaut to space in 2022.

Last year, the United Arab Emirates sent its first spacecraft to the International Space Station, Hazara al-Mansouri, and became the first Arab country to send humanitarian missions.

Apart from highlighting the space, Fawad Chaudhry said that Pakistan is also considering cooperation with the United Arab Emirates in agriculture.

Fawad Chaudhry said that UAE is one of the most invested countries in agriculture, we can offer land and expertise to Dubai companies that want to come to Pakistan and invest in it.

"We can make profitable business agreements with these Emirates companies," he said.

Federal Minister said he is prioritizing business-to-business agreements to accelerate the investment process between the two countries.
