The battery life span of a smartphone is the most mind-boggling part of these devices.

Because most batteries do not work all day and even in the evening the phone has to be recharged.

But nowadays most phones are offered with a fast charging feature that aims to help the battery charge faster during everyday engagements.

Various watt chargers are available in this regard from different companies.

If you don't know, fast charging gives the battery more current so it can fill up faster.

A typical charger provides 5 to 10 watts output, while a fast charger can provide 8 times more current.

As Huawei's 10 watts / 4A superchargers get 40 watts of current, while some companies are also working to increase this technology to 100 watts, the main purpose of all fast charging services is to provide more power in less time. ۔

But the question is, does fast charging reduce battery life?

The answer is that if there is no technical problem with the battery or charger electronics then the use of a fast charger will not damage the phone battery on a long-term basis.

Fast charging batteries operate in 2 steps; in the first phase, empty or almost empty batteries get high voltage. Absorbs rapidly without any adverse effects.

But in the second phase, the remaining 20 to 30 percent of the battery is slowed down and the charging speed is carefully controlled.

Experts say that if you consider a battery sponge, water is poured on the dry sponge for the first time, it absorbs water faster, which is the fast charging phase for the battery.

But when the water is constantly pouring, the water from the wet sponge starts to rise out of the surface, and this absorbent charge on the battery can potentially damage the battery on a long-term basis.

However, the disadvantage is not equal to when everything inside the phone is handled well.

The battery management system closely monitors these 2 steps of charging, and in the second phase reduces the charging speed and allows the battery to absorb current and prevent problems.

This is because, in the end, a few percent of the battery takes a little longer to fully charge
