Another facebook feature for preventing COVID-19 Fake news

A new tool has been introduced by Facebook to combat fake news and misinformation regarding the new Novel Coronavirus.

Now a user will be alerted if they like or comment on false information or fake news regarding this virus or its outbreak of cod 19.

In fact, if it has done so in the past days, deleting the content will alert you to comments, likes or reactions.

This alert will appear on Newsfeed and will be provided with links to the World Health Organization, which has been rejected in connection with COVID-19.

These alerts will begin to appear on users' newsfeeds in the coming days.

Facebook has done this before, and a few years ago it sent similar alerts to those who like or follow bogus pages.

Facebook is also urging users to search for vaccine content to visit trusted sources such as the World Health Organization or others.

Facebook last year announced a 3-point project called 'Problem Content' that included Remove, Reduce and Inform.

With regard to the fake news of COVID 19, the social media has followed the tips of Remove and Reduce and is now on the verge of disinformation.

Facebook has taken several steps regarding the Coronavirus outbreak.

Free developer tools for COVID 19 were released in Messenger last month, while the Corona Virus Information Center was introduced on March 19 at the top.

The purpose of this information center is to spread the useful information provided by governments and medical researchers regarding the virus while minimizing the spread of misinformation.

This information center is updated in real-time, while new information and tips are provided from other official sources, including the World Health Organization.

Facebook also banned ads for the treatment of the Coronavirus, while the World Health Organization announced a $ 2 million advertising site.

WhatsApp introduces the WhatsApp Coronavirus patch on its website to help more people access authentic information about the Coronavirus, where people have access to accurate information about the rapidly spreading epidemic worldwide.

The Coronavirus information feature introduced by the WhatsApp has been presented not only with the support of global healthcare organizations but also by the messaging application to ensure accurate information delivery in this feature. 

But in addition to providing accurate information to millions of WhatsApp users, the World Health Organization has also introduced a Health Alert or Chatbot that provides statistics, answers to various questions and other information.

For this purpose, save the phone message to +41 79 893 1892 and send a hi message on it, opening the menu in front of you, which can be accessed through various emojis.

Too many forward messages in the WhatsApp have also been reduced to a limit of 5.

Facebook Messenger is also working with governments around the world to prevent rumors about Coronavirus.

An information hub has been introduced to facilitate chatbots for this purpose.

This information hub also aims to prevent the spread of false information online.

The messenger statement said that the center will provide users with resources to help them connect with their friends, family, office colleagues, students, teachers, and others during the home quarantine.

Messenger has also decided to reduce the number of forwarded messages to prevent rumors and misinformation about the Coronavirus from spreading.

A feature is being worked on under which the user will not be able to send a message to more than 5 people, making the spread of rumors difficult.
