Zynn has come up with a new application to compete with the most popular video-sharing app TikTok
There is only one obvious difference, which is almost entirely a copy.
And the difference is that users are paid dollars for signing up, watching videos, and following others.
This app is a complete copy of TikTok, its interface is similar to that of a popular app, and both focus on short videos.
But while watching the video in this new app, a countdown timer runs in the middle with a dollar sign.
That is, when users watch videos, they get points that they can later earn in the form of money or gift cards.
According to The Information, Zynn actually belongs to a Chinese company, kuaishou. There is strong opposition to Byte Dance, a company owned by TikTok.
kuaishou is running one of the few major video apps in China and is second only to the Chinese version of TikTok, Devon.
There, too, the company adopted a customer payment method to gain customer attention.
But more than she pays, she earns from advertising, and recently China's Ten Technology, a major technology company, has invested 2 billion in it.
The service is currently limited to China, the United States, and a few specific countries, where you can watch videos for a few minutes at 0.12, while people are also rewarded through a referral scheme.
