The opposition walked out of the meeting after bitter sentences were exchanged between the opposition and the government members due to the absence of ministers in the Senate.
Bitter sentences between the government and opposition members began when Minister of State Shehryar Afridi submitted a written response to drug addicts in Pakistan in the Senate secretariat, but he himself was absent from the meeting.
On which Deputy Chairman Senate Saleem Mandviwala inquired about the absence of Shehryar Afridi from Parliamentary Affairs, Minister Azam Swati and expressed his ignorance of the Minister of State.
Saleem Mandviwala asked Minister Azam Swati, "Where is your minister? And Shehryar Afridi did not even inform the Secretariat of non-participation.
He said that the agenda included questions and the minister was not present.
The deputy chairman said, 'I have raised the issue of absenteeism in the House before'.
He said that Shehryar Afridi is not in the House or in the cabinet, then where are they?
To which he said that Federal Minister Shehryar Afridi had no knowledge nor I was aware.
"If I had been told, I would have had a brief," he said.
On this, the Deputy Chairman Senate said that if Shahryar Afridi has a problem, he should inform the House and take responsibility.
Later, the senior leader of the PML-N, Raja Zafarul Haq, walked out of the House on the irrational behaviour of the minister.
