Riyadh: Saudi government has announced a big exemption for the convenience of restaurants and general store owners, Zakat and Income Department allowed the issuance of handwritten bills instead of computerized bills.

According to details, the Saudi Department of Zakat and Income has decided to give a big exemption to restaurants and general store businessmen.

According to the order, general stores and restaurants that cannot provide computerized bills to customers can issue handwritten bills, remember that restaurants and general stores were banned from issuing online bills.

According to Saudi media, a user on the social networking site Twitter was asked the government has banned online bills at restaurants and general stores, whether will it include restaurants that have Online billing facility not available.

Spokesman Zakat and Revenue said that such restaurants and general stores could operate with manual bills provided the copy of the bill met the requirements of section 53 of the bill.

It should be noted that in section 53 it is forbidden that the copy of the bill is printed and it also includes the name, price and value-added details of the goods being sold.

Article 53 of the Code of Conduct also prohibits the date of issuance of the bill in Arabic or in any other language.

The Value Added Tax Serial Number and Tax Identification Number include the date of import of the goods and the date of import of the goods along with the user's name.
