Islamabad: The Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone of seven projects for construction of 20,000 houses today.
According to details, Prime Minister Imran Khan will lay the foundation stone of seven projects for construction of twenty thousand houses by the Ministry of Housing today. These projects are worth Rs 100 billion. These projects will be constructed at seven Ideal locations in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Quetta and Lahore.
Six projects are related to Federal Government Employees Housing Foundation while one is related to the Pakistan Housing Authority Foundation. The Housing Authority is providing quality housing facilities to all eligible federal employees at affordable prices; financing facility from banks will also be provided to acquire homes.
Considering that the construction and provision of the houses is an important sector of the country's economy in terms of economic development and social stability, according to Prime Minister Imran Khan's vision, construction of housing projects where thousands of homeless Pakistanis will get their roof. There will also be the promotion of industries related to the construction sector, and new employment opportunities will come.
Due to lack of planning in the past, today our country is suffering from a shortage of about ten million housing units, because of this crisis it has become impossible for the low-income and the salaried people to get their home.
