Islamabad: Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that the purpose of imprisoning an individual is not to deprive him of basic rights.

The Prime Minister tweeted on the social networking site, saying that the government's prison reform package will help ensure social security and rehabilitation of prisoners.

The Prime Minister also said that if a person is jailed, it is not meant to deprive him of rights, it is a source of help to the perpetrators.
He congratulated Barrister Ali Zafar and other members of the committee formed to assist the prisoners and said that the members of this committee have finalized the prison reform package report, with this package the government will get help in restoring the prisoners. 

It should be remembered that Prime Minister Imran Khan had approved a 15 billion relief package opposing raising the prices of gas and electricity in the federal cabinet meeting. He made it clear at the meeting that there was already a burden on the people, the government can no longer bear the burden. Further decisions were made to reduce inflation.

On the issue of sugar, the Prime Minister said that the public will not be disturbed, cancelling the ECC's decision to import sugar, he endorsed the ban on the export of sugar, the meeting ended import duty on pulses. It has also been decided to reduce the price of pulses nationwide while lending to youth stores for 50,000 youth has also been approved.
