The OIC delegation will visit Pakistan and Azad Kashmir
Islamabad: The OIC Secretary General's special correspondent to Jammu and Kashmir will visit Pakistan and Azad Kashmir along with a delegation.
According to News, the Foreign Office spokesman has said that OIC Secretary General's Special Envoy to Jammu and Kashmir Yousuf M al-Dubey will visit Pakistan and Azad Kashmir till March six.
According to the Foreign Office, the OIC delegation will be briefed on the deteriorating situation in occupied Kashmir, the OIC delegation will also visit the Line of Control where it will assess the damage to civilian population from Indian firing.
The Foreign Office said that the OIC delegation's visit is in the context of Indian unilateral action on August 5, and that the OIC fully supported the Kashmiri people's struggle, the OIC issued a resolution in this regard in 1994. A contact group was also set up, the Independent Human Rights Commission issued a number of statements condemning the atrocities; two meetings of the OIC contact group have been held after 5 August.
It is to be remembered that a special delegation of the UN Secretary-General is also coming to Pakistan. Sources said that the delegation is visiting in view of the current situation in Kashmir. The delegation will meet Prime Minister Imran Khan and Foreign Minister. In the meetings, the issue of Kashmir will be discussed in the meeting.
