Supreme Court: Ministry of Defense agrees to conditional release of Inam ur Rahim

In the Supreme Court, the Ministry of Defense guaranteed the release of the former Advocate Inam ur Rahim, detained by security forces from home.

A three-member bench headed by Justice Musheer Alam in the Supreme Court heard the case regarding the release of Advocate Inam ur Rahim.

During the hearing, the Attorney General told the court that Colonel (retd) Inam ur Rahim was ill and had to be taken to the hospital, again and again, adding that he was ready to release the advocate if his lawyer submitted his passport. And give the laptop password.

In addition, the Attorney General said that Colonel (retd) Inam ur Rahim was also convinced that he would not go beyond Rawalpindi and Islamabad but would also assist in the investigation.

On this, the lawyer of Inam ur Rahim told the court that his client had been in custody for 18 days a month but at the same time agreed to accept the conditions for his release.

Later, the court remarked that a government appeal filed against the release of Colonel Inam ur Rahim would be heard on merit, after which the case was adjourned for 2 weeks.
