Sindh Education Minister Saeed Ghani has said that schools will be opened from March 16 across Sindh.

Talking to media outside the Chief Minister's House, he said that if the situation had worsened due to the Corona virus, the decision could change.

He said that when the first two cases of the Corona virus came out, there was no arrangement and preparation.

On March 9, Karachi reported the highest number of Corona virus cases in the country.

Following the outbreak of the Corona virus in Karachi, the provincial health department had suggested the province's chief minister, Murad Ali Shah, to ban large gatherings like the Pakistan Super League (PSL) and increase the school holidays.

It is understood that after the first case of Corona virus was revealed in Karachi on February 26, the Sindh government had decided to close the school for two days, but on March 1 extended the decision and announced that the school would be closed till March 13. ۔

Saeed Ghani said in a statement on social networking site Twitter that 'Sindh government has decided to close educational institutions across the province by March 13, 2020'.

Talking to the media after the meeting of the Education Steering Committee, Saeed Ghani informed about the decisions regarding the opening of schools and said, 'As we have said before, schools will remain closed till March 13 and March 16. But from March 16, the ninth and tenth-grade exams will begin.

Speaking on the school holidays, he said, "Next year, summer holidays will be from 1st June to 31st July. Now, the difference of 15 days is visible for this year and next year goes on the old schedule.
