On displaying Corona's medical tests, foreigners will be allowed to enter the country: CAA

The Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has declared a medical test compulsory for all foreign travelers entering the country for the spread of the Corona virus.

It should be noted that the number of Coronavirus cases has reached 237 in the country while Prime Minister Imran Khan has urged the nation to be prepared to fight the outbreak.

According to a notification issued by the Authority, all foreign passengers will be obliged to provide a copy of the medical test before boarding.

The medical test should be 24 hours old, the statement said.

According to the notification, the application will begin on March 21.

"All airline operators will have the responsibility to ensure that no passengers are allowed to board a plane without a Corona virus test report," the statement said.

In addition, copies of medical tests should be provided along with the Health Declaration Form.

According to the notice, the passenger name and passport number must be present in the medical test related to the Corona virus and it is necessary to submit an original test report at the time of admission to Pakistan.

The CAA instructed each airline to take and board passengers more than once, in accordance with internationally recognized procedures.

The global flight will resume operation on all international airports except Gwadar and Turbat on March 21, after the airport has been equipped with the necessary infrastructure and resources to ensure proper screening of international travelers, the notification said.

It is to be noted that the authorities have restricted international flight operations to only 3 airports in the country - Lahore, Islamabad and Karachi - to discourage the spread of the virus.
