Oman's capital Muscat's airport ranked seventh in the world's best airports

A great honour for Muscat Airport

Muscat: Oman's capital Muscat's airport ranked seventh in the world's best airports; Salala Airport has been named the fourth-best airport in the world.

According to the ranking released by Airport Council International, the capital of Muscat and another city Salalah airport has been named as the seventh and fourth best airport in the world respectively.

Muscat Airport provides aerospace services to 1.5 million passengers annually, while there are two million people travel annually from Salalah Airport.

Muscat and Salala Airport are honoured to provide excellent facilities and luxuries for travellers.

The Muscat Airport was relocated to a new building in 2018, after which the facilities at the airport increased.

The airport is spread over an area of 5,250 acres. Initially, there was only one passenger terminal building and one runway. Later, it added more runways, new passenger terminals and a new control tower.

There is also a housing scheme for the airport staff.

Similarly, Salalah Airport was opened in 2015 and soon ranked in number nine the list of the best airports in the world, Since its inception, the airport has been providing aviation facilities to 2 million passengers annually.
