NAB approve of filing new references Against Zardari, Nawaz Sharif and Yousuf Gilani

The Executive Board of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) approved the filing of new corruption references against former prime ministers Nawaz Sharif and Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani and former president Asif Ali Zardari, accusing the national exchequer of losing billions of rupees.

On the other hand, the Anti-Corruption Bureau closed the case against Zulfi Bukhari, the Prime Minister's Assistant Special Overseas Pakistani Syed Zulfiqar Abbas Bukhari al-Mufroz Bukhari, due to the absence of credible evidence.

NAB Chairman Justice (R) Javed Iqbal approved the filing of three corruption references in the fake bank accounts case against Yousuf Raza Gilani, Nawaz Sharif, Asif Ali Zardari, Khawaja Anwar Majeed and Khawaja Abdul Gani Majeed. ۔

The suspects have also been accused of receiving gifts and vehicles from the government for violating rules and regulations, which damaged national treasures, the NAB said in its statement.

The meeting also approved filing a corruption reference against former Ambassador Kamran Shafi and former High Commissioner to the UK Wajid Shamsul Hasan for damages of $ 27,000 and £ 28,000 respectively.

The meeting also approved the filing of a corruption reference against State Bank of Pakistan Staff Cooperative Housing Society honorary secretary Abdullah Alawi and others for misleading people and depriving them of Rs 70 lakh 80 thousand.

Along with this, the NAB board also allowed to stop inquiry against officers and officials of Punjab Thermal Power Limited, Faisalabad Industrial Estate Development, Zulfiqar Bukhari, Wajid Bukhari and Lahore Knowledge Park Company due to the absence of credible evidence.
