Jamia Hafsa students claiming responsibility for wall-chalking Relevant to women's march

ISLAMABAD: Students of  Jamia Hafsa have claimed responsibility for chalking the wall in connection with the Women's Independence March in G-7 area of the federal capital.

In addition, two petitions sent to the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) have also been threatened with regard to the march, while the wife of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F) and Maulana Abdul-Aziz has also announced plans to stop the march.
In a video circulating on social media, Umm e Hassan said that she would start a counter-march in the name of 'Hya March' on the same day, but his participants would be in hijab.

On the other hand, Secretary JUI-F Secretary Mohammad Tariq expressed confidence in the capital administration that they would stop the March 8 march of independence.

He said, "If there is woman march, we will not be silent but will bring our people to the streets to show them the true colors of Islam and Pakistani culture."

He further said that Jamaat-e-Islami has also announced that they will 'women  March' at 10 am in the place of  Woman freedom march.

On the other hand, a statement signed by the 'Students of the Jamia Hafsa' was issued claiming to accept the responsibility of wall chalking.

The students' statement said that under the Shariah principles, it was their responsibility to stop the process which they called a conspiracy to promote prostitution in the country.

The statement also threatened to ban participation in the march, saying that citizens of the capital should expel supporters from their territories.
