Iraq: Fierce protests against the government, UN warns
Iraq's top UN official Janine Haines says ignoring the protesters' demands will increase anger and increase mistrust.

He said that the steps taken so far would be hollow if they were not completed.

Demonstrators expressed concern that their movement would be ignored in the region between the United States and Iran, AFP reported, quoting General Qasim Sulaimani, head of Iran's Quds Force, in a US airstrike January 3. Was born after the death.

Iran fired missiles at the US military base in response and claimed mass casualties, while the US rejected the claim.

It is to be noted that the protesters are demanding premature elections based on the reform voting law so that the new Prime Minister can replace the current caretaker Prime Minister Adil Abdul Mahdi and hold the officials involved in corruption.

Adil Abdulhadi announced his resignation two months ago in protest of the protests but political parties could not agree on his replacement, so he is running the government as caretaker prime minister.
