Prime Minister Imran Khan committed to promoting science and technology in the country
Islamabad: Prime Minister Imran Khan chaired a meeting on science and technology reforms and said that cooperation in the promotion of science and technology will be provided.
According to details, a meeting held chaired by Prime Minister Imran Khan in which Minister of Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry, Minister of State Shahar yar Afridi, Advisor Commerce Razzaq Dawood, Chairman Investment Board and the concerned Federal Secretaries were present.
Federal Minister Fawad Chaudhry gave a briefing on alternative imports to increase exports of technology products and reduce imports.
The Federal Minister also briefed on the production of biotechnology products, an increase in exports and promotion of hi-tech products.
Fawad Chaudhry said that the Ministry of Science and Technology identified 252 products. Global exchange can be earned by improving product production and quality. These products can significantly reduce imports.
He said that the Ministry of Science and Technology is setting up a 3, 7 and 10-year program.
Fawad Chaudhry also briefed on the potential and next step in the field of high-tech industrial development while giving suggestions on several important projects. The briefing added that the first phase will focus on the herbal, food and medicine sectors.
Prime Minister Imran Khan applauded the Minister for Science and Technology and said that the government would provide support for the promotion of science and technology.
Fawad Chaudhry said that PCSIR 25 acres of land in Lahore recovered from land Mafia, the land was recovered from a close relative of the political leader who occupied the land on the basis of influence.
