Imran Farooq murder case: Delays recording of witness statements

ISLAMABAD: The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) has suspended the request of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to record the statements of British witnesses in the Dr Imran Farooq murder case.

ATC Judge Shah Rukh Arjmand was to record the statements of the prosecutor's witness through a video link from the UK.

According to the report, when the proceedings began, FIA Special Prosecutor Khawaja Imtiaz Ahmed told the court that the British witnesses were not ready to record the statement and had more time to arrange for them to record the statement via video link. Required.

Responding to a question regarding the preparation of witnesses, Khwaja Imtiaz Ahmed said that he needed a month to do this work.

The court subsequently suspended the proceedings until February 17.
