Hadiqa Kiani Song, Youtube Removes Video of Tribute to Kashmiri Martyrs

Leading singer and musician Hadiqa Kiani released a song on July 13 with Turkish singers Ali Tolga Demertas and Torgi Aureen to pay tribute to the 1931 martyrs of occupied Kashmir. Hadiqa Kiani, along with Turkish singers, organized an organization called 'Kashmir Civitas' on July 13, 1931, in which 22 people were martyred in Kashmir by the Hindu king and on July 15, 2016, during the military coup in Turkey. The song was released as a tribute to the people.

The duration of the song is less than 4 minutes in which videos and pictures of atrocities of Indian forces in occupied Kashmir were also presented. The video also included glimpses of Prime Minister Imran Khan, President Arif Alvi and the presidents of Turkey and Azad Kashmir, while the song also featured popular leaders of Occupied Kashmir who were at the forefront of the struggle for independence of Kashmir.

The song was released in Turkish, Urdu and Kashmiri, which became popular as soon as we saw it. However, the video streaming website YouTube removed the songs of Hadiqa Kiani and Turkish singers under the label of copyrights and private videos. Hadiqa Kiani also confirmed in her Instagram story that YouTube removed her video in a very quiet and systematic manner, however, she did not remain silent, she and Kashmiri Savitas are constantly working against the move to remove the video.

The actress wrote in her story that she conveyed the message of love and peace through the song and she would not sit quietly when the song was removed. Hadiqa Kiani said that as soon as the video is restored on YouTube, she will inform the fans about it. YouTube has claimed that the video was removed from Hadiqa Kiani's channel under copyright, while the removal of the video from Kashmiri Sevitas channel has sent a message that the video has been made private.
