Waqar Younis said that after leaving Test cricket for Aamir and Wahab, touring Australia had no choice but to try young fast bowlers.
However, he supported both the players even after quitting Test cricket, saying that they should continue cricket in limited-overs cricket and should be given the opportunity.

The former fast bowler, formerly known for his yorkers, said that the yorkers are still the bowlers' biggest weapon, but now the bowlers have adopted defensive tactics to save the boundaries and runs in T20 cricket.
On the occasion, he especially praised Shaheen Shah Afridi and said that he also got wickets from Yorkers along with excellent line length.
He said that cricket has changed a lot in the 80s and 90s, with the abundance and leagues of T20 cricket, the technique, and approach of the players have changed a lot, and now fitness is more important than ever.
"My own wife is a doctor, and when she goes to the hospital, a strange panic ensues, but hopefully, the situation will improve," Waqarounis said, calling for an end to the epidemic that is affecting the whole world.
He said that the Coronavirus did not cause much devastation in Australia compared to other countries in the world but at present, there is not much talk about the T20 World Cup.
