Amnesty International expresses concern over the arrest of Mir Shakil-ur-Rahman

Amnesty International expressed deep concern over the arrest of Jang Group editor-in-chief Mir Shakeel-ur-Rehman.

Releasing the social media website Twitter, the World Journalist Organization said the arrest of Mir Shakeel al-Rahman seems to be another case of harassing journalists in Pakistan.

He also demanded a fair trial and access to all legal representation for the editor-in-chief of the war group.

It should be noted that two days ago the US State Department also expressed concern over the arrest of Mir Shakeel al-Rahman. He said that the independence of journalism and the rule of law are the pillars of democracy.
