KABUL: Afghan President Ashraf Ghani signed a release order for the release of Taliban prisoners, after which 1,500 Afghan Taliban prisoners will be released under US and Afghan Taliban agreement.

According to details, President Ashraf Ghani approved the release of 1,500 Taliban prisoners under the Afghan peace agreement, The Taliban will hand over a thousand government troops in exchange for one and a half thousand prisoners, after the Afghan president's approval One hundred Taliban prisoners will be released from prisons every day, 

According to Afghan media, under the agreement between the US and the Afghan Taliban in February, fifteen hundred Afghan Taliban prisoners will be released, the release of the prisoners will begin on March 14 from Parwan Jail.

Afghan Taliban prisoners will be released after biometrics and the released Afghan Taliban will give a written assurance not to commit violent acts again.

The Afghan government says five thousand Taliban prisoners will be released if the Afghan Taliban reduces its violence.

The UN Security Council is unanimously endorsed the US and Afghan Taliban agreement, the resolution emphasized the peace process and intra-Afghan dialogue.

Remember that the United States is reducing its military force as a result of negotiations with the Taliban, in this regard the withdrawal of US forces from Afghanistan has finally begun, US Army spokesman Colonel Sonny Leggett said in a statement that Under the agreement, the number of US forces is conditionally decreasing.

Colonel Sonny Leggett said that there are 12 to 13,000 US troops stationed in Afghanistan, initially, the number of US forces will be reduced to 8600.

It should be noted that on February 29, the agreement was signed between the Taliban and the United States in Qatar’s capital Doha, according to the agreement in Doha, the United States will draw about 5,000 troops in 135 days.
