A day after the ceasefire was announced, the first Coronacase Appear in Yemen

The first case of the Coronavirus was confirmed in a government-controlled area just one day after the Saudi military announced the ceasefire in Yemen.

According to AFP reports, the Yemeni Supreme National Emergency Committee said in a message on Twitter that "the first confirmed case of the Coronavirus COVID-19 has been revealed in the province Hadhramaut."
An internationally recognized government committee said the condition of the victim was out of danger and undergoing treatment.

French news agency AFP reports that the authorities concerned have promised to release more details in this regard today and all precautionary measures have been taken.

Rescue organizations warned that the coronavirus could have devastating effects on Yemen's deteriorating health system.

It should be noted that the day before the Saudi military alliance unilaterally declared a ceasefire, however, there was no immediate response from the Houthi rebels to the ceasefire announcement for 2 weeks.

However, the Houthi Political Council secretary Yasser al-Horari said the Saudi coalition had "violated every ceasefire declaration."

So if this ceasefire remains lighthearted, it will be the first step at the end of 2018 after the UN mediation in Sweden on a ceasefire in the coastal city of Hadida.

On the other hand, the United Arab Emirates, a key member of the military alliance, which withdrew its forces last year after the conflict became increasingly unmanageable, termed Saudi Arabia's move a "wise and responsible step".

Remember that Saudi Arabia launched a military intervention in March 2015 in support of Yemen's internationally recognized government.

Saudi Arabia has said that the ceasefire can be expanded, which may pave the way for a political solution to the conflict.

The announcement of a ceasefire comes at a time when Saudi Arabia is facing a drop in oil prices.

Thousands of civilians have been killed during the last five years of war between Iran-backed Houthi rebels and the Saudi Alliance, and the UN has called the situation in Yemen the worst human tragedy.
