Dera Ismail Khan: More than fifty types of fossils were discovered in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan border areas.
Archaeological experts have revealed that the fossils recovered are approximately 60 million years old, which reinforces the fact that millions of years ago there was sea in the area.
Experts say that the sea in Drazandar withdrew from its location due to climate change, which left marine life here.
Experts say that if the stones were removed during excavation, the oysters were also recovered. Atlas Khan, head of the project and professor of biology, says that we find many species of animals, including crabs, fish, goats and their eggs.
Archaeologists say the detainees are located in the mountainous area of Dera Ismail Khan (DI Khan) in Hazara Division, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, where more than 50 species have been found.
Experts say preliminary research concluded that millions of years ago, DI Khan was replaced by sea, but due to geographical changes, water retreated hundreds of kilometers.
