West Indies Captain Jason Holder Best Rankings of Test Career

West Indies captain Jason Holder has made a career-best ranking in Test cricket with a stellar performance against England. West Indies defeated England by 4 wickets in the first Test series after a long lockdown due to coronavirus. Jason Holder had a superb all-round performance and took six wickets for England in the first innings, which was the best bowling of his career. In the second innings against England, although he took only one wicket, Shannon Gabriel turned the match around and took 5 wickets.

In the second innings, Holder got only one wicket but remained unbeaten in batting and scored 14 runs and led the team to victory by 4 wickets and came out of the field empty of spectators. After the first match of the series between West Indies and England, the ICC announced the improvement of Jason Holder's ranking. Jason Holder snatched the second position in Test bowling from New Zealand's Neil Wagner.

The West Indies captain also improved his ranking in the all-rounder category in Test cricket and topped the list with 485 points. Ben Stokes was second in the all-rounders' list, followed by India's Ravindra Jadeja at third, Australia's Mitchell Starc at fourth and India's Ashwin at fifth. There is no Pakistani player in the top 10 of the best Test all-rounders.

No Pakistani bowler has made it into the top 10 in Test cricket, with Australia's Pat Cummins at number one and New Zealand's Neil Wagner at number three. New Zealand's Tim Southee is still fourth and South Africa's Kagiso Rabada is fifth. The West Indies beat England by 4 wickets in the first Test after a four-month hiatus due to the coronavirus to take a 1-0 lead in the series. England had scored 204 in the first innings in response to which the West Indies were bowled out for 318, leading by 114 runs.

In the second innings, England batted better and scored 313 runs on the board, in which Shannon Gabriel took 5 wickets. West Indies achieved the target by scoring 200 runs for the loss of 6 wickets and took the lead in the series.
