Peshawar Zalmi, the most popular franchise of the Pakistan Super League, has replaced Darren Sammy as the head coach in the middle of the fifth edition of the league and Wahab Riaz has been appointed captain of the team.

Pakistan Super League 2017 winner Peshawar Zalmi has replaced Darren Sammy in the middle of the fifth edition of the PSL and has given the lead to fast bowler Wahab Riaz.

Peshawar Zalmi has replaced Darren Sammy as the head coach for the next two years while Mohammed Akram has been appointed as the team director and bowling coach.

In 2017, Peshawar Zalmi had the honour of becoming the champion of the Pakistan Super League under the leadership of Darren Sammy and today the match against Quetta Gladiators will be his last match.

Remember that Darren Sammy has been removed from the leadership at a time when media reports of controversy with Javed Afridi, the owner of Sammy's franchise, two days ago.

Peshawar Zalmi did not feed the injured captain Darren Sammy in the match against the Karachi Kings and was replaced by fast bowler Wahab Riaz.

However, news of the differences in the media began to circulate when Darren Sammy said in a message on social networking site Twitter that 'I understand that you are important until you finish your work'.

However, the former West Indian captain has denied reports of differences and Peshawar Zalmi is his wife and nothing can come between them.

He added that I do not believe that the media will think that there will be a problem between me and my brother Javed Afridi, I am actually laughing at him, to hear that I love this person just like my brother.
