The Sultan Azlan Shah hockey tournament has been postponed due to Coronavirus

The Sultan Azlan Shah hockey tournament has been postponed due to the outbreak of the Corona virus in more than 50 countries around the world.

According to the Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF), the tournament was to be played in the Malaysian city of Epo from April 11 to 18, in which the Pakistan hockey team was also to participate.

But organizers have announced that the tournament is currently postponed in order to protect the players.

The federation said that it has now been decided to hold the event from September 24 to October 2.

On the other hand, the camp of Pakistan hockey team set up for the preparation of the Azlan Shah hockey tournament has also been abolished.

The camp was set up for the last one month while the final players were to be selected today.

It should be noted that the virus spread to different countries from China so far killed more than 3,000 people and affected nearly 90 thousand people.

So far, 4 cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in Pakistan.
