The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) suspended the batsman Umar Akmal after which he will not be able to play cricket during the suspension.
In this regard, PCB's release stated that under Section 4.7.1 of the Anti-Corruption Code of the Board, Umar Akmal was immediately suspended.
On behalf of the PCB Anti-Corruption Unit, investigations are underway and Umar Akmal cannot participate in any cricket-related activities until his completion.

The statement did not state the reason for the suspension, but it was stated that the investigation is currently underway, so the PCB will not release any further statement on the matter.
On the other hand, it was also clear that Quetta Gladiators will be allowed to opt for PSL 2020 due to Umar Akmal's suspension.
The PSL5 starts today (Thursday) and the Quetta Gladiators will play their first match against Islamabad United today.
