Shock to Lahore Qalandars, Rashid Khan Announced to Return Home | PSL 6

All-rounder Rashid Khan, who played a key role in the Lahore Qalandars win, lost the first two matches of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2021. Rashid Khan, the world's number one bowler in T20 cricket, said in a message on social networking site Twitter that "soon I will be leaving the PSL unfinished because Afghanistan has to participate in the performance of national duties".

"I am grateful to the Lahore Qalandars and all the fans for their support and love," he said. "We will meet next year, God willing," he said. It may be recalled that the young captain of the Afghan cricket team had participated in the PSL for the first time and the Lahore Qalandars had excelled in the first two matches. In the presence of Rashid Khan, Lahore Qalandars won the first two matches for the first time in the history of the league.

Rashid Khan did not take a wicket against Peshawar Zalmi on February 21, but was aggressive in batting, scoring 27 off 15 balls and leading the team to victory with a beautiful six. The world number one bowler in T20 cricket bowled out Chris Gayle, the successful batsman in the match against Quetta Gladiators, at a time when he was playing dangerously for 68 runs.

It may be recalled that Rashid Khan is going to represent the Afghan cricket team where a series of 2 Tests and 3 T20 matches will be played against Zimbabwe. The first Test of the series between Afghanistan and Zimbabwe will start on March 2 in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, the second Test will start on March 10.

The T20 series starts on March 17 in Dubai, the second on March 19 and the third on March 20.
