Series from Bangladesh: Sarfraz and Haris Rauf join a team Pakistan and Bangladesh are likely to make several changes to the Pakistani team for the T20 series and former captain Sarfraz Ahmed is expected to return.

The Bangladesh team has finally agreed to visit Pakistan and the two teams will play a series of three T20 matches from January 24.

The announcement of the Pakistani team for the series is expected on Thursday, after which the selection committee and team management have consulted and finalized the selection of the players.

According to Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), chief selector Misbah-ul-Haq met with T20 captain Babar Azam, in which the names of the players were consulted for the T20 series against Bangladesh.

According to the PCB, a total of 6 selectors will be consulted again with the names of the players, after which, at 2:30 pm, Misbah and Babar will announce the national team for the series at the press conference.

According to sources, it is difficult for Asif Ali, Harris Sohail and Mohammad Irfan to retain a place in the series against Bangladesh.

According to sources, fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi will likely return to the squad, while young fast bowler Haris Rauf, as well as former captain Sarfraz Ahmed, are also considering joining the squad.

Haris Rauf has been playing brilliantly representing the Melbourne Stars in the ongoing Big Bash League in Australia and his name is under consideration for the series due to his outstanding performance.

The Bangladesh team will visit Pakistan in two phases in which three T20s, two Tests and one ODI will be played.

The first T20 match between the two teams will be played in Lahore on January 24, after which Gaddafi Stadium will host T20 matches on January 25 and 27.

The first Test match between the two teams will be played in Rawalpindi from February 7 to 11.

After the first Test match, Bangladesh team will return home and Pakistan Super League will start from February 20.

At the end of the Pakistan Super League, the Bangladesh team will visit Pakistan again in April, where the only ODI of the series will be played in Karachi on April 3.
