PSL5: Darren Sammy The First Player To Reach Pakistan

Peshawar Zalmi and West Indies champions captain Darren Sammy says Pakistan is home to them and they are desperate to play in front of Pakistani fans.

Talking to media in Karachi, Darren Sammy said, "Pakistan is always nice to come to, it is like home and you can see I came to Pakistan first."

He said: "The Pakistan Super League is fully organized in Pakistan. I am excited and desperate to play in front of Pakistani fans."

In reply to a question, he said, "My whole life has been spent playing cricket, people are happy to see their stars playing. For many years in Pakistan, fans were anxious to see the stars playing in front of them. "The return of cricket means a lot to everyone."

"I have been practising a lot in batting for the PSL but we do not believe in individual performances in Peshawar, we play as a team," he said.

"I played in all the leagues in the world, everyone has a different standard, I try to be 100 percent of my league in which I play," said Darren Sammy.

Responding to a question regarding Tweet in Urdu and Pashto, the captain of Peshawar Zalmai said, "I have a Google Translator for Urdu and Pashto."

It should be noted that Darren Sammy arrived in Pakistan yesterday to participate in the Pakistan Super League.

Pakistan Super League 2020 starts on February 20 and defending champions Quetta Gladiators and Islamabad United will compete in the inaugural match.
