PCB has decided to postpone PSL5 after suspected symptoms of the Coronavirus in a foreign player

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chief executive Wasim Khan says PCB has decided to postpone Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 5 after suspected symptoms of the Coronavirus in a foreign player ۔

He said that all the franchisors expressed their full support and confidence in the PCB decision.

Wasim Khan replied to a question that all the players were ready to play matches and when it was decided he left the hotel to play.

He said that earlier the district administration had made all arrangements, including spray and stadium matches, according to the advisory of the district administration.

Wasim Khan said that the decision to postpone the match was purely PCB's.

He said that the matches were postponed but did not cancel, they will reschedule the matches if conditions improve.

Responding to a question regarding rescheduling, he said that 'no consultation has been done yet which may take some time'.

The Chief Executive PCB made it clear that 'Corona strongly supports all government measures related to the virus'.

He said the decision to postpone the match also included the support and confidence of the franchisor.

Wasim Khan said that PCB has taken all decisions to protect fans and players.

Earlier, the PCB had said in a tweet that 'HBLPSL 2020 has been postponed'.

Both the semi-finals of today's event and the finals to be held tomorrow (March 18) were postponed by the PCB in view of the Corona virus.
