Due to the Coronavirus, the schedule and format of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) have changed and now the league will have 33 matches instead of 34 while the semi-finals will be played instead of play-offs.
Due to fears of the Coronavirus, the dates of play-offs and final matches of the Pakistan Super League have been changed and the scheduled final on March 22 will now take place on March 18 after the change of date.
Due to the virus risk, the league's schedule has been reduced to 4 days so that not only foreign players can return home safely as soon as possible, but also the league can be reached with good reason.
Earlier, a qualifier and two eliminator matches were played between the two leading teams in the Pakistan Super League.
Under the new schedule, the first semifinal of the event will take place on March 17 at 2 pm between the top-ranked team and the fourth-ranked team at the Round Table at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore.
On the same day, Gaddafi will host the second semifinal of the stadium event, which will be played between the second and third teams at the points table at 7 pm.
The winning teams of the two matches will qualify for the final, which will be played at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on March 18 at 7 pm.
The Pakistan Cricket Board says they are in constant contact with the Punjab government and will guide the government to allow fans to go to the stadium for the last four matches of the event held at Gaddafi Stadium, but a decision will be made later.
