Category A or B in Central Contract is not a problem for me, Sarfraz Ahmed

Former national cricket team captain Sarfraz Ahmed has vowed to return to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) after a setback in his central contract.
"You can get anything, but it takes a lot of hard work to maintain it," Sarfraz Ahmed said in an interview.
He said that there is no problem for me in the A, B, or C category of Central Contract, my main goal is to make my place whenever the opportunity arises for the Pakistan team and take full advantage of this opportunity.
"There are ups and downs in the lives of cricketers but I thank Allah Almighty in every situation," he said.
I still thank Allah that I got B category because there are all our top cricketers in the B category.
The former captain said that Shaheen Shah Afridi has got A category which is a matter of great happiness as he has proved himself and his performance in events like the World Cup was also excellent.
It may be recalled that the PCB had recently transferred Sarfraz Ahmed from Category A to B of Central Contract.
The new central contract announced by the PCB for 2020-2020 has been widely scrapped and many well-known players have not been able to find a place in the contract while a few new players have been made part of the contract. ۔
The new contract has a total of three categories in which a total of 18 players have been awarded contracts while three emerging players have also been awarded.
Newcomers Naseem Shah and Iftikhar Ahmed have also secured central contracts, while Mohammad Amir, Wahab Riaz, and Hassan Ali have been ruled out.
The PCB has also appointed Babar Azam as the captain of the ODI team in place of Sastha Sarfraz Ahmed with a downgrade in the Central Contract.
Sarfraz Ahmed was also dropped from the team after the home series against Sri Lanka in October 2019, after which there were fears that he would be placed in the C category of the central contract but has been placed in the B category.
