Board cannot prevent the players from taking retirement : PCB

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Ehsan Mani has said that the board cannot prevent the players from taking retirement nor can they take any action against the players who are taking retirement.

The 57th meeting of the PCB's Board of Governors in Peshawar was chaired by Chairman Ehsan Mani, in which the members participated and presented the audit report of the PCB.

During the meeting, members of the Board of Governors lauded the efforts of Chairman and Chief Executive Waseem Khan to persuade Bangladesh for the series.

Chairman PCB told the members that contrary to media reports, the media rights dispute between Bangladesh and Bangladesh in the series against Bangladesh has earned $ 375,000.

During the meeting, Misbah-ul-Haq, Head Coach and Chief Selector of the Pakistan Cricket Board gave a briefing on the performance presented after taking office.

Talking to media in Peshawar after the meeting, Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Ehsan Mani said that the cricketing opportunities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are nowhere else and we are ready to hold the matches of Pakistan Super League (PSL). But that requires a stadium in Peshawar.

He said that the PSL has begun and the entire league is being held in Pakistan as promised, the international test cricket has been restored after 10 years in Pakistan and the team of Marylebone Cricket Club will visit Pakistan soon.

He said that the policy of allowing Pakistani players for the foreign league is clear, without permission no player can join the league.

He said that the cricket board has approved the constitution and players will know when they will be allowed to join the league and when.

On a question regarding retirement from Test matches by Mohammad Aamir and Wahab Riaz, Chairman PCB said that we cannot prevent anyone from taking retirement but we cannot take action against such players, opportunities for new players. Which will start to produce good results soon?
