Wedding ceremony in the fort: Walled city authority officer fired over negligence
LAHORE: The Walled City Authority has dismissed its Director of Marketing, Tourism and Culture for holding a wedding ceremony at the UNESCO World Heritage Site.
According to the report, the authority also returned the services of Asif Zaheer to the Departments to the Services and General Administration Department to return them to the original Department of Parks and Heart Culture.
Talking about this, Kamran Lashari, director-general of the Walled City of Lahore Authority said, "In light of the initial investigation by a private company in connection with the alleged wedding ceremony at a royal kitchen in the Lahore Fort, we have senior officers. Dismissed Asif Zaheer and return his services to the Services and General Administration, who will send him back to his department, Parks and Heart Culture. '
He added that "in our view, it was the negligence of the aforementioned officer that he did not oversee the function which was allegedly taken from a private corporate dinner to a wedding ceremony (henna)."
Kamran Lashari acknowledged that the negligence of the government officials was not only expressed by the government but also by the culture lovers, but the process also brought shame to the authority.
Kamran Lashari further said that preparations take time before such an event and the officers could have guessed the nature of the event from the preparations but they did not.
