ISLAMABAD: The strike of utility store employees has started yielding positive results, the management has increased the daily wage of daily wage employees of the corporation to Rs 240 and the basic salary of permanent and contract employees has also been increased by 10%. ۔

According to media reports, the move by the corporation will increase the salaries of Daily Wages employees from Rs 3,500 to Rs 7,000 per month. A notification has been issued to increase the daily wages and salaries. The balance will be paid in installments from July 1, 2019, to March 2020.

It has been informed that the daily wage of under-matric and matriculation qualified daily wages has been increased by Rs. 125 from Rs. 550 to Rs. 675. The daily wage of intermediate and drivers has been increased by Rs. 130. It has been increased from Rs 650 to Rs 780. The daily wage of graduates and MA qualified employees has been increased from Rs. 700 to Rs. 840 with an increase of Rs. 140.

Daily wages of MBA, MPA, M.Com, and MS increased from Rs. 180 to Rs. Has been increased from Rs. 1200 to Rs. 1440. Similarly, daily wage workers working on holiday at head office, zonal offices, and various projects will also be given extra money while daily wage workers will be paid extra Rs 75 per day working on a holiday.

The notification further said that ad hoc relief of permanent and contract employees of utility stores has been increased by 10%, basic pay of employees of grade 1 to 16 has been increased by 10%, the basic salary of employees of grade 17 to 20 has been increased. Salary has been increased by 5%, this increase has been made in the context of Ad Hoc Relief Allowance 2019, the arrears will be paid to the employees in 3 installments.
