ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has claimed that there has been a clear fall in the prices of vegetables in the country and warned that those responsible for the artificial rise in prices will be dealt with handsomely.
In his message on Twitter, the Prime Minister said, "The government's continued focus on controlling prices has resulted in a clear decline in food prices, especially vegetable prices."

He further said that 'I assure the nation that unless I identify all the artificially inflationary elements and punish them, I will not sit calmy'.
It is to be noted that Prime Minister Imran Khan had the responsibility of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to investigate the recent sugar and flour crisis in the country.
The FIA prepared its report, but the Prime Minister was not satisfied with it and directed that a comprehensive report be submitted containing the answers to 20 more questions regarding the increase in prices and storage of sugar or flour.
Opposition parties blamed Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Jahangir Tareen and Federal Minister for Defense Khusro Bakhtiar for the flour and sugar crisis.
However, the Prime Minister gave them both a clean chit and said that the FIA in their report did not nominate them for any wrongdoing.
