The number of cases coming to Sindh today is the highest ever, said Murad Ali Shah

Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has said that the number of 404 cases received in the province today is the highest ever.
In his video message, he informed about the status of cases in the province and said that in the last 24 hours, we have conducted 3729 tests and thus the total number of cases has reached 51,790.
He said that 404 people were further affected in the last 24 hours and thus the total number of victims in the province has reached 5,695 and this number is 10.8 percent of the tests conducted in one day.
Continuing, he said that in the last 24 hours, 208 people have recovered from the epidemic, bringing the total number of recovered people to 1169.
Regarding the deaths, the Sindh Chief Minister said that 8 people have lost their lives in 24 hours and thus the death toll has risen to 100 so far.
He said that at present 36 patients are in critical condition while 18 are on a ventilator.
Referring to the number of cases in Karachi, the Sindh Chief Minister said that 332 more people were infected in the city of Quaid-e-Azam, with the highest number of 113 people in the southern district.
He said that 100 cases were reported in the East District of Karachi, 39 in Central District, 37 in Korangi District, 36 in West District, and 17 in Malir District.
He said that 13 people were diagnosed with the virus in Khairpur and Larkana, 14 in Sukkur, 7, and 7 in Shikarpur and Shaheed Benazirabad.
The Sindh Chief Minister said that the number of Pakistanis stranded abroad who had reached Karachi airport was 505 and all of them were tested.
He said that out of these 505, 69 are positive, 397 are negative while results of 39 are awaited. Out of these 69, 21 people are from Sindh province while the rest are from outside Sindh.
In his talk, the Sindh Chief Minister said that the epidemic has spread but the best way to control it is to isolate the people by testing them as much as possible so that they do not infect anyone else.
According to Murad Ali Shah, 2 labs will be ready by Monday.
At the same time, he said that the 404 cases coming today are the highest number of cases so far, one of the reasons is that we have increased the number of tests and we are testing in a scientific way.
It may be recalled that Sindh province is the second most affected by a coronavirus in the country and so far 5695 people have been infected and 100 deaths have been reported.
