Wheat procurement target set at 14m tonnes
In addition, the Sindh cabinet approved setting a target for procurement of new wheat crop (20-2019) at 14 lakh tonnes.
The cabinet has set up a committee that will determine the wheat support price and a method of procurement so farmers can get good prices.
The meeting was attended by the Chief Secretary, the Provincial Ministers, all the Advisors and Special Assistant Officers.
The Sindh cabinet approved it after considering the rules related to working in homes, under which a provincial council consisting of 10 members would be mapping home-based workers and registering workers under the rolls.
The meeting discussed the agenda for establishing Sindh Urban and Regional Master Plan Authority.
Regarding the establishment of the authority, Municipal Minister Nasir Shah and Secretary Local Government Roshan Sheikh told the meeting that the Supreme Court had directed the establishment of the aforesaid authority after which the Cabinet approved the establishment of Urban Authority.
The committee will be authorized to make master plans for all the cities of the province.
In addition, the Chief Minister directed the local government to resolve the salaries of the employees.
Murad Ali Shah said that the entire system should be computerized and audit the salary system of the employees of the local councils should be made.
